"Mottura" 3x3
The Mottura 3×3 Classic Decoder Bulgara is a precision locksmith tool specifically crafted for use with the compact Mottura locks that feature a 3×3 lever configuration. This manual self-impressioning decoder allows for efficient, non-destructive lock manipulation and enables you to extract the lock’s code during the process.
This decoder set for double-bit lever locks includes two impressioning keys (referred to as Soft keys with movable pins) and one tension tool. The inclusion of two keys is intentional to speed up the process: the first Soft key is used for the initial decoding turn, while the second is applied for the final rotation. By the end of this sequence, you’ll have generated a fully functional decoding key.
A major advantage of this tool is how easy it is to maintain. If any pin becomes bent or damaged, you can simply unscrew the bolt at the base of the Classic decoder and replace the faulty pin without hassle.
The decoder arrives fully assembled and ready to use — no additional setup or pin arrangement is necessary. You only need to adjust the pin pressure using the bottom screw on the soft keys as needed.
What the kit includes?
The unlocking procedure is straightforward. First, the tension tool is inserted into the lock, applying slight rotational pressure to mimic the function of a real key. Next, you insert the first Soft key, which is designed with the same dimensions and form as the genuine Mottura 3×3 key. The tool’s movable pins (or “teeth”) allow it to adapt to the lock’s internal configuration.
As you gently wiggle both the Soft key and the tension tool, the pins respond to the lock’s internal levers, gradually settling into the correct positions that replicate the original key’s bitting. This forms one side of the double-bit profile. You then repeat the process with the second Soft key to complete the opposite side of the profile.
Once both steps are complete, the result is a fully-formed decoding key that opens and closes the Mottura 3×3 lock as if it were the original.
