"Mottura" and "Kale" 4x4
The Mottura & Kale 4×4 Classic Decoder is a precision self-impressioning tool, designed specifically for Mottura 4x4and Kale 4×4 double-bit lever locks. These two lock types share the same mechanical profile, and this decoder is engineered to work with both systems seamlessly.
This manual decoder allows for non-destructive, fast, and accurate decoding, making it an essential tool for professional locksmiths who need to access and duplicate these locks without damage or disassembly.
What the kit includes?
The Classic Decoder operates using manual self-impressioning, a technique where the movable pins in the Soft Keys adapt to match the internal configuration of the lock through torque and vibration.
Insert the Tension Tool
Insert it into the lock in the same direction as the lock tongue (notch).
This simulates the torque a real key would apply during rotation.
Insert the First Soft Key
Insert from the opposite side of the tension tool.
The Soft Key matches the geometry and dimensions of the original key and contains movable pins that interact with the lock’s levers.
Rotate and Impression
Turn the Soft Key 90° while gently shaking both tools.
This motion causes the pins to adjust and align with the correct positions required to open the lock.
Complete the First Half of the Profile
As the pins align, the Soft Key begins to turn freely—this means the first half of the profile is complete.
Insert the Second Soft Key
Repeat the same process to decode the second half of the profile.
After this, you will have a fully formed double-bit profile that can unlock the lock just like the original key.
