The TOPOLINO self-impressioning decoder is designed to open and decode STS IX cylinder locks. It is a professional locksmith tool made specifically for emergency opening situations.
This tool works only with the following models:
IX3
IX5
IX8
It does not work with IX9 or any other cylinder locks.
For best results, always use this decoder only with the compatible STS IX models listed above.
This Topolino decoder is specially engineered for emergency opening of STS IX cylinder locks. For that reason, its internal structure follows the exact specifications of these models.
The pick includes:
A main blade with 5 pins
A tension blade with 5 pins
10 pins in total
The pins follow a precise configuration that matches the designated lock models. Because of this specific arrangement, the tool delivers accurate decoding and efficient opening performance.
The tool is secured with factory-adjusted bolts.
Do not tighten, loosen, or manipulate the bolts in any way. Any modification will permanently damage the tool and destroy its opening capability.
Follow these steps carefully before using the tool:
Insert the blade of the Topolino into the Reset Cap.
Make sure the two arrows match their correct position (watch the video for guidance).
Slide the slider backward.
Use the reset key to reset all 10 pins.
Push each pin fully inside.
Slide the slider forward again.
The decoder is now fully reset and ready for use.
There is no such thing as “one tool that opens every lock.” Therefore, a universal tool does not exist for this type of locksmith equipment.
For this reason, the operator must know the exact cylinder lock model before attempting to open it. Basic locksmith knowledge and proper identification of the lock are required.
These lockpick tools operate without force.
You only need to apply a medium amount of tension. The tool then positions each pin inside the cylinder lock to a specific height. Gradually, the pins align themselves to match the position of the original key.
As a result, the tool reproduces the key profile.
Once this process is complete, you obtain a full double-bit profile. At this stage, the tool can open and close the lock exactly like the original key.
