1.1. Your RENAULT/SMART device Your RENAULT device is equipped with DIP switches numbered from 1 to 10 where you can define the functionality of the device and one LED which can be illuminated in green and red.

1.2. Features of RENAULT/SMART device Programming of keys/cards – 1,2,3 or 4 keys/cards. In case of all keys lost situations, you need to program 1 key first and then program any remaining keys.

1.3. Application of RENAULT/SMART device This device intended for locksmith workshops, auto services, auto houses, etc. The device can help in all cases when it needs to add blank keys/cards to Renault vehicle. It works by OBDII and does not require the PIN code of the vehicle or a PC. The learning procedure takes from 30 secs-5 minutes (depending on car and if it is all keys lost situation or not). You have the possibility to learn keys/cards when the owner of car has lost all keys.

2. USAGE OF the RENAULT/SMART DEVICE

2.1 Renault Twingo 3, Renault Trafic 3, Smart 453 – turn ignition on with the blade (without the transponder) and put the transponder in the antenna of the device – put the device in the OBDII port of the vehicle and the LED will shine solid green – when the device flashes red once, take out the blade and put the transponder from the antenna in the key – as soon as the blade is taken out of the ignition, the LED will shine solid red. At this point turn ignition on with the complete key (blade and transponder). – after 3-4 seconds, the device will start flashing green which means the procedure is complete and the key is programmed – take the device out, turn ignition off once and the car will be ready to start and the remote will be programmed (if present).

2.2 Smart 450 and 452 – turn ignition on with the key and put the antenna of the device on top of the key – put the device in the OBDII port of the vehicle and the LED will shine solid green – as soon as the blade is taken out of the ignition, the LED will shine solid red. At this point turn ignition off and then on with the key. – after 3-4 seconds, the device will start flashing green which means the procedure is complete and the key is programmed – take the device out, turn ignition off once and the car will be ready to start and the remote will be programmed (if present).
