TOYOTA / LEXUS EMERGENCY START v.3.0

Supported models: All of the Toyota/Lexus models equipped with KEYLESS-GO system, from 2008  up to 2018

Working principle:

The device receives digital data signal from the SMART module and then emulates the ignition key(card) to check whether immobilizer system is working properly. The following types of keys are supported: 94/D4/98/88/A8/A9. Also, you can add a new key if you need it.

Appearance:

After the device is connected to the OBD, the following menu will appear:

If the connecting to the SMART module was successful and the necessary data – received, the following menu will appear:

If the current SMART module is not supported –“LEARNING…” message will appear. Please wait approx. 1- 2 minutes to let the device analyze the received data. The next time when the device is connected to the same type of SMART module, it will work immediately. This means that the device has already learned and stored the new type of SMART module.

CHECK (Disarming ) Needed for CAMRY, PRADO and AVENSIS models

1. Connect the main cable to the device

2. Connect the device to the OBD socket (located on the left of the driver’s legroom)

3. Press once the START/STOP button or press the brake pedal to “wake up” the car

4. Select CHECK in the device’s menu

5. Doors unlock and OK !!! message will appear on the display

6. Then press CONNECT

CONNECT (Engine start)

1. Connect the main cable to the device

2. Connect the device to the OBD socket (located on the left of the driver’s legroom)

3. Press once the START/STOP button or press the brake pedal to “wake up” the car

4. Select CONNECT item in the device’s menu

5. If “LEARNING…” message appears, please wait till learning finishes (approx. 1-2 minutes)

6. When “BRING TO BUTTON” message appears – press and keep the brake pedal, touch the START/STOP button on the device’s backside, as pictured(Pic.2). ANTENNA icon (( Y )) should blink.

7. Press START/STOP to start the car 8. Press EXIT in menu and disconnect the device from the OBD socket

ADD (Add new key)

1. Connect the main cable to the device

2. Connect the device to the OBD socket (located on the left of the driver’s legroom)

3. Press once the START/STOP button or press the brake pedal to “wake up” the car

4. Select ADD item in the device’s menu

5. If “LEARNING…” message appears, please wait till learning finishes (approx. 1-2 minutes)

6. When “BRING TO BUTTON” message appears – press and keep the brake pedal, touch the START/STOP button on the device’s backside, as pictured (Pic.2). ANTENNA icon (( Y )) should blink.

7. After the sound signal, take the device out of the START/STOP button, and touch the button with the key you need to program, after a while you will hear programming confirmation sound.

8. Press EXIT in menu and disconnect the device from the OBD socket

To start the car with A9 RX keys (from 09.2015), LC200 (from 2016), LC570 (from 2016), Prius (from 2016), C-HR etc.) In some of these models, when the car is locked the Central Gateway blocks the Diagnostic bus (OBD-2 socket) access. To unlock the car, there are alternative way to connect to the SMART-BOX ECU:

Troubleshooting

  • If you get (ERROR) message please check the OBD connector, check if the car is not in “sleep” mode and try once again.
  • In case of errors during execution of the CONNECT command – please check if the original working key is not present in the car, take it out or remove the battery from the key.
  • If you cannot program a key with the ADD command, this means the key is not blank or does not fit into the car.
